Tyler is 1!!!

My little boy is growing up {too fast}!!! Today we celebrated his first birthday! I'd been planning for months for his Dr. Seuss themed party and it was a hit!

At 1 year old:

-you are 23.7 lbs - down in weight a bit! Lost some of that baby chub with all that turbo speed crawling you do! 50th percentile for weight, 75th percentile for height! 

-just outgrowing your 12 month clothes - fitting into some 18 month stuff

-size 5 shoes are too big, but 4's are too small - you hate shoes anyway

-size 4 diapers

-favorite hobbies include playing with your toy car racetrack, chasing the Roomba, picking your nose, chasing the dogs, watching Baby Einstein, and babbling 

-you now go to sleep without being rocked {hooray!} - although we still sometimes rock you just to cuddle

-back to sleeping through the nights again {knock on wood} - about 12 hours each night {7:30-7:30ish)

-just started only taking 1 long two hour nap a day instead of two naps
-you like to sleep on your belly curled up in the fetal position

-loves to eat what mommy and daddy eat: your favorites are breads, chicken nuggets, grapes, raisins, your beloved Gerber puffs, Nutrigrain bars, and Cheerios. 

-can stand without holding onto anything when you're distracted - your longest was for about 10 seconds!

-can furniture walk - I think you'll be walking within a month!

-love to slide on things with your hands when you're crawling to make you crawl that much faster! You're so smart!

-love to swing in your swing and go for walks in your new wagon!

-new favorite word is "Dada!"

-can clap your hands and jump up and down when we say "jump" or "clap your hands"!
